Kevin Johnson

KevinJohnsonBioPicKevin Johnson, MD (he/him/his) joined TBTS in 2012 as an editor, and he currently serves the board of directors as its treasurer. He is a psychiatry resident at Yale University, where he is the chief resident of the psychosomatic medicine service and a psychiatrist for Yale’s Pediatric Gender Program. He completed medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he led the school’s LGBTQ-health student interest group, “Q!” He has worked in TNGC health and advocacy for nearly ten years and has worked with his medical school’s administration to assist in reforming their academic curriculum and hospital policies to make it more LGBTQ-inclusive. He has also given lectures on transgender health and wellness at Yale’s Physician Associate Program, the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry, St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church, Yale New-Haven Hospital, and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
