Anneliese A. Singh

SinghGender Around the World) is an Assistant Professor at The University of Georgia whose research includes understanding the resilience experiences of transgender people in the face of societal oppression. She is also a psychologist who works primarily with transgender youth in rural settings. Raised as a South Asian Sikh, she is particularly interested in how spirituality and resilience intersect with colonization experiences related to transgender people around the world. She is a co-founder of the Georgia Safe Schools Coalition that advocates for the human and civil rights of queer and transgender youth.
