Kel Polly

TBTS photo, Kel WrightKel is a queer identified gender activist with a passion for expanding social understanding of gender. Kel promotes youth empowerment, and seeks to provide opportunities for children to explore gender expression, without fear of rejection. Kel also has an interest in poverty relief and has served as an advocate; providing assistance to families in need. Kel lives with their partner of 5 years, and together they co-parent 4 children. When not busy with family life, Kel is an active artist and photographer. Their current studio work focuses on the intimate journey of finding, and reclaiming, oneself. Photographically, Kel enjoys capturing the quiet, unspoken moments through candid shots, and has a particular interest in photographing homeless and trans* youth.
