dickey photo preferred but may be too smalllore m. dickey is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi in the Department of Psychology. He received his training as a Counseling Psychologist from the University of North Dakota. He completed his internship at Counseling and Psychological Services at Duke University in Durham, NC. Following graduation, Dr. dickey completed a 10-month Health Policy Leadership Fellowship at the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at the Morehouse School of Medicine. While completing this fellowship, Dr. dickey completed special projects with the Centers for Disease Control and the Georgia Psychological Association. Dr. dickey’s research has primarily focused on the transgender community. In additional to studying sexual identity development and support group effectiveness, Dr. dickey also completed a study examining non-suicidal self-injury among transgender people. On a more personal not, Dr. dickey identifies as a gay trans man. He has been a member of the LGBT community for over 28 years.
